Who are we?

The NOVA Dispute Resolution Forum is any academic centre within Nova School of Law. We are located at Campus de Campolide 18, 1099-032, Liboa – Portugal. You can contact us by post at the above address, or by email at: disputeresolutionforum@novalaw.unl.pt

What personal data do we collect?

When you leave a comment on our website, or write a message in the “Contact Us” box, we collect the data required in the comment box (name and email address).

In addition, we collect your name and e-mail when you decide to subscribe to our  monthly Newsletter. 

Why do we collect personal data?

If you decide to contact the NOVA Dispute Resolution Forum, we will need your name, e-mail, and your message in order to respond to your request. These personal data are only used for the contact, and after 6 (six) months after the last contact they will be disposed of. 

If you decide to suscribe to our Newsletter, we will use  your data to send you the Newsletter monthly via email. If you wish to stop receiving the newsletter, you may simply request so by sending an e-mail to disputeresolutionforum@novalaw.unl.pt. These data will be disposed 6 (six) months after the last Newsletter send. 

With whom do we share the data?

NOVA Dispute Resolution Forum does not share personal data with any other entity and/or institution, except in the cases provided for by law or id you have given us specific consent to do so. 

Where do we store the data?

Your data is stored on the servers of the Law Faculty of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. We do not transfer your data to third countries.

How long do we keep the data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and the metadata will be stored indefinitely. We do this so that it is possible to automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments rather than retaining them for moderation. Regarding the contact with the Centre and the subscription of the Newsletter the retention period is of 6 (six) months after the last contact/newsletter sent if the subscriber decides to not continue to receive the newsletter. 

Data Subject Rights

At any time, the you may:

Request access to information – you have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether the data concerning you is being processed and, if so, to access your personal data and access the information provided for by law.

Request the rectification of information if it is inaccurate or incomplete – you have the right to have the NOVA DRF, without undue delay, withdraw inaccurate or incomplete data concerning you.

Requesting limitation of processing of their personal data – you have the right to request NOVA BHRE to limit the processing of your data if one of the following situations applies in particular:

If the processing depends on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it.
